Space was scarce, and so were funds for a second vehicle. Necessity became the mother of invention when I traded in my truck for a small cargo van and began transforming it into what would become my perfect vehicle. It was my workhorse by day and sanctuary by night, complete with all the essentials: space for two, a ready-to-use bed, a kitchenette complete with sink and stove, refrigeration, and even the luxury of a hot shower and bathroom. Our compact cargo build, a product of my predicament, not only met my needs but exceeded them.
